 Oct. 12th Tucker Park at Maidens Crossing Dedication!

Sept. 19th

There is great news to report about Tucker Park. On Friday, July 29^th, the gravel parking lot at the site was completed!! I have attached a photo so you can see the finished site. It has been a long journey and there are many to thank.

• Leigh Gordon of Gordon Construction Company served as the site contractor and donated the use of his equipment and most importantly his own time to complete the job.
• Travis Chewning and Brad Duty worked to help secure Luck Stone’s donation of 1200 tons of crusher run. Also thanks to Luck Stone's Mark Williams who serves on our task force.
• Billy Ottley of S. B. Cox and Joe Liesfeld of Leisfeld Contracting donated trucks who made over 30 trips to remove the soil and transport the stone to the site.
• Gary Clower, our own Task Force member, and his associates at McKinney and Company, donated the creation of the site plan.
• Mike Parrish donated his time to survey and stake the site. 
•  Derek Stamey, another Task Force member, was a driving force in coordinating the effort and along with his staff at Goochland’s Parks and Recreation department, put in many hours to prep the site.
